Polly Terror é novo projeto de Poliana Marques, a cabeça por trás do evento Chá das Mina, produtora de eventos e ex-vocalista da banda Duna, Brisa e Chama.

Neste fase da sua carreira ela explora sons mais experimentais e sombrios, sem deixar as influências de rock do passado, mas em uma estrada totalmente diferente do seu trabalho anterior.

O trabalho novo, chamado ‘Special Fiend’ é um disco com cinco músicas com clima sombrio, paisagens soturnas e melancólicas, que passam pelo experimental, rock, metal e gótico, deixando a tona influências de artistas como Chelsea Wolfe,The Cure, Morphine,Emma Ruth Rundle. As composições autorais abordam temas pessoas, experiências e psicodelia, entre momentos leves, loucos e as vezes pesados.

A capa foi feita pelo artista visual Daniel Junkeira e a produção da obra ficou por conta de Fábio Mazzeu (Mayen e ex-Lively Water) e Porquinho (Grupo Porco e Fodastic Brenfers) além da própria Polly: chefa da porra toda. O disco conta ainda com a participação de Gabriel Laso, que adicionou arranjos de guitarras de oito cordas na música “32 times”.
Ao vivo a artista conta com a participação de músicos conhecidos da cena Belo Horizontina, mas a artista não se prende em formatos e tem a proposta de ser o centro de uma estrutura flutuante, seja com banda ou solo.

É o início promissor de uma carreira que já conta com o apoio de selos como Abraxas (RJ) e Geração Perdida (MG), criando uma relação com bandas nacionais como Lammia, Necro, Lupe de Lupe, Paola Perdida e Não-Não Eu, além de bandas internacionais como Neurosis, Kadavar e Samsara Blues Experiment.
